Singer FAQs

Shelle will consult with the event organiser by phone or in person to discuss specific requirements and this will be followed up with email confirmation of everything discussed.
New songs can be learned and incorporated upon request, within reason. Please ask. If Shelle can’t sing it for any reason, she can play it as part of her playlist between sets.
Shelle pre-arranges a playlist of appropriate music played between sets. If you have specific songs you like, she’s happy to play them. Or you can provide your own iPod to play through her system. Please ask.
Shelle has a full PA system suitable for any venue up to a large hall (up to 200 people) or a small outdoor event. Kit includes SRM350 Mackie speakers and an Allen & Heath Z10FX mixing desk.
All equipment is PAT tested annually to comply with venue safety regulations.
Shelle has a simple lighting kit that is sufficient for most indoor parties and events. Additional lights can be hired in to meet specific requirements. Shelle will advise on the different packages available and will make all the necessary arrangements.
Promotional posters and leaflets can be produced FOC and emailed to the event organiser.
Shelle is a fully paid-up member of the Musician’s Union.
Shelle is covered by £10m public liability insurance.

Every performance is quoted for up front and quotes take into account location, duration of the event, whether or not Shelle is required to bring her PA system and lights, the level of Shelle’s involvement.

Shelle is not currently VAT registered and any anticipated extras will be quoted up front.

Payment in cash on the day/night is the easiest option for all. Cheques or bank transfers are also accepted. Full payment details will be detailed on your invoice.

Voiceover Artist FAQs

Shelle works with nostairway media, a professional studio based in Hampton Hill, five minutes from her home, but is happy to travel to other studios or premises elsewhere. Travel charges may apply – please ask for details.
All jobs are quoted for up front and quotes take into account script length and complexity, technical specifications and turnaround time.

Files can be provided in a range of formats to suit the customer’s requirements. Please ask.
Please accompany each script with a covering note giving any specific instructions or requests, and clarify any unusual or ambiguous words or sector-specific jargon with phonetic spellings.
Shelle retains copyright and ownership of all recorded material she has voiced and her permission must be obtained if it is to be used for anything other than its intended purpose. Full ownership and copyright of any recorded material can be arranged via a buyout licence. Please ask for details.

Event Host / Compère FAQs

In order to manage expectations and ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible, please provide Shelle with a full brief and running order as early as possible to allow her time to digest the information and address any queries that may arise.

Ideally, event organisers should send the following at least 24 hours in advance of the event or performance:

o Succinct event overview/briefing sheet (a template can be provided – please ask)

o Running order (a template can be provided – please ask)

o Scripts

Shelle is happy to attend planning meetings and/or discuss arrangements in full over the phone.
